I have been a member of the Area Council since April 2022 and have served as its President since January 2023. I am a lifelong resident of Newton. My professional background is as a software engineer, though I have recently returned to school as a full-time law student. I also served on Newton's Traffic Council from 2020 to 2024.

I have been an active member of the council since 2010, dedicated to fostering community spirit—especially through organizing the annual Newton Highlands Village Day. I work with the Newton Recycling Committee at various outreach events and also volunteer at the Rumford Swap Shop.
Professionally, I work at Keysight Technologies, partnering with universities and students to advance learning in optical design. My academic background includes degrees in Physics, Mathematics, and Optics from the University of Rochester, where I continue to support students through mentoring and conducting admission interviews.
My passion lies in inspiring young minds to pursue careers in science and technology.
Secretary
Dr. Srdjan S. Nedeljkovic, is currently the Secretary for the Newton Highlands Neighborhood Area Council and was previously President. He and his family live in Newton Highlands and are all too frequent riders on the Green Line. He also serves on the Newton Transportation Advisory Group and is on the Board of Directors of the Crystal Lake Conservancy. On the Steering Committee of Bike Newton, he is an advocate for promoting safe bicycling. He has served on Newton’s Comprehensive Planning Advisory Committee, Newton's Mixed Use Task Force, and is a member of the Arborway Committee for Public Transit in Jamaica Plain.
Dr. Nedeljkovic is faculty in the Department of Anesthesiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital, where he is actively involved in clinical care, research, and teaching, and is an Associate Professor of Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School. He completed his undergraduate studies at Penn State University and is a graduate of Jefferson Medical College (now Sidney Kimmel Medical School) in Philadelphia. In his spare time, Dr. Nedeljkovic enjoys gardening, skiing, traveling, lazy days on the beach, hiking, bike riding, reading about history and architecture, and pretending to be an amateur meteorologist.
I have been an Area Council member for 10 years and committed to improving the Highlands to be a vibrant community. I have been a Newton Highlands resident for 36 years, married, have 2 adult children and retired from the Medical Device industry.
I am deeply engaged in community service and humanitarian aid, reflecting my dedication to making a positive impact. In addition to the Area Council I am a volunteer with the American Red Cross, Medical Reserve Corps and member and instructor with the Brookline CERT. (Citizens Emergency Response Team).
I joined the Newton Highlands Neighborhood Area Council January 2016 and have been a Newton resident or homeowner since 1969. I am a physical therapist that has focused mostly on burn injury rehabilitation in Boston hospitals, as well as outreach clinics in China, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic. In my spare time, I enjoy strolling through Newton’s villages, admiring the diverse architectural styles.
I joined the Newton Highlands Area Council in 2024 and have been a Newton resident Since 2019. Professionally, I work as a Critical Care Nurse at Tufts Medical Center and have worked in public health, healthcare quality and data analytics. Outside of work, I am a new mom, enjoy gardening and an avid skiier in the winter!
