Join Santa for breakfast on Saturday, December 6, from 9 to 12am
at the Women's Club of Newton Highlands, 72 Columbus Street (just off Lincoln St).
The event is free and open to all, a donation is suggested.
Our trash & recycling contractor now picks up on the usual schedule during the weeks of Veterans Day and on three other holiday weeks – Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, and President’s Day.
Going forward, Newton delays curbside services by one day for seven holidays: New Year’s Day, Patriot’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
Project Goals
Improve sidewalks and roadways for all users with a focus on improving accessibility and safety
Provide thriving community gathering spaces for residents, businesses and visitors
Beautify with art, benches, lighting, historic markers, and landscaping
Activate and enhance infrastructure including best management practices for storm water mitigation, phosphorus reduction and sustainability
