Join Santa for breakfast on Saturday, December 6, from 9 to 12am

at the Women's Club of Newton Highlands, 72 Columbus Street  (just off Lincoln St).

The event is free and open to all, a donation is suggested.

Our trash & recycling contractor now picks up on the usual schedule during the weeks of Veterans Day and on three other holiday weeks – Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, and President’s Day.

Going forward, Newton delays curbside services by one day for seven holidays: New Year’s Day, Patriot’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.

Project Goals

• Improve sidewalks and roadways for all users with a focus on improving accessibility and safety

• Provide thriving community gathering spaces for residents, businesses and visitors

• Beautify with art, benches, lighting, historic markers, and landscaping

• Activate and enhance infrastructure including best management practices for storm water mitigation, phosphorus reduction and sustainability
